Pennsylvania's Casino Earnings Soar to All-Time High in March 2025

HARRISBURG, PA — Gaming revenue in Pennsylvania soared to an all-time high in March 2025, with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reporting a combined total of $574,534,002 from all gaming formats, including fantasy contests. This figure surpasses the previous monthly revenue record of $554,625,294 set in March 2024, highlighting robust growth in the state’s gaming sector.

Driving this achievement was a remarkable performance in the iGaming category. Revenue from internet casino-style gaming reached $238,220,161, marking a 24.67% increase from the $191,086,114 reported in March 2024. The figure also broke the prior iGaming monthly record of $223,652,312, achieved in December 2024.

“iGaming continues to demonstrate strong momentum, contributing significantly to Pennsylvania’s overall gaming landscape,” the PGCB reported in its latest update.

In other segments of the gaming industry, the outcomes were varied. Retail slot machine revenues amounted to $222,499,993 in March 2025, marking a minor drop of 2.37% from March 2024. Likewise, earnings from table games dropped by 3.91%, bringing in $81,891,242 for this month. On the contrary, fantasy contest income climbed up by 6.91% year over year, reaching $1,180,292. The sports wagering handle saw an uptick of 5.26%, totalling $842,856,961; however, the tax-collectible revenue from sports betting dipped by 40.71% when contrasted with March 2024 figures.
