NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — On Sunday, hundreds of customers lost electricity in Norwich, as reported by Norwich Public Utilities.
Originally, 1,400 customers faced disruptions because of an outage in the Thamesville area of Norwich.
The issue was contained and minimized, affecting roughly 700 customers around 7 p.m.
Several electrical blackouts have been reported across Norwich.
Authorities stated their intention to have electricity restored for everyone except 45 customers within the next hour.
The reason for the outage is unclear.
