S.F. Comedy Night Aims to Support Legal Services for Immigrant Families in the Bay Area

At the beginning of President Donald Trump’s first term in 2016, the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area was established. held its inaugural Comedy Night for Immigration Rights to seek comedic respite during times of political upheaval.

Nine years after the initial effort, Trump has returned to the White House, and the nonprofit organization is now gearing up for its ninth annual comedy fundraising event on Thursday, May 1, which continues to support immigrant families as part of their yearly tradition.

The fundraising event will take place at the Presidio Theater and will include performances by comedians Sheng Wang, Bassem Youssef, Mohanad Elshieky, Jenny Yang, and Sabrina Jalees.

The general admission price ranges from $50 to $75, and these tickets can be purchased at the theater’s box office. website For $200, attendees will have entry to a pre-show cocktail hour with beverages provided by Turley Wine Cellars and Frog’s Leap Winery.
