“Prior to the Great Recession, I was a 22-year-old real estate agent fresh out of a pizza delivery job. Surprisingly, I managed to secure a loan for almost a million-dollar house despite having no assets, minimal income, and zero experience—just my signature,” El Moussa shared in the caption of his post.
He proceeded to clarify that this pivotal experience revealed to him "a system fundamentally flawed at its very essence."
"Persuading purchasers to buy homes beyond their means using mortgages they were not fully aware of. Manipulating financial documents as directed by individuals employed at the bank, allowing them to clear regulatory checks. Fraud was rampant," he stated in the video.
El Moussa surprisingly disclosed that at the age of 22, he attempted to secure an income stated loan for $800,000. home His lender recommended that rather than including 'pizza delivery driver' in his application, he should list 'catering services' to enhance his chances.
