The 2025 Cheveron Championship boasts a $7.9 million prize money and offers $1.2 million for the winner. Before Chevron became the title sponsor in 2023, the total prize fund was notably lower at $3,100,000.
Individuals who didn't make the cut received $10,000 each, and all participants in the event used a complimentary Cadillac. Previous winners had access to a complimentary Bentley instead.
Saigo secured victory with a birdie on the first playoff hole, overcoming the biggest playoff scenario in LPGA major championship history. Ariya Jutanugarn, Hyo Joo Kim, Ruoning Yin, and Lindy Duncan tied for second place, each receiving $500,759 as runners-up.
"I still have four more majors to go, and I want to shoot for No. 1 in the world," said Saigo of what comes next. "I will do my best in the remaining four majors."
